Welcome to Johnson Class!

We are Johnson class - a mixed 3/4 class. Our teacher is Miss Lord and our wonderful teaching assistants are Mrs Potts and Miss Simpson. 

Important information:

This Spring term, Rocks, Relics and Rumbles teaches children about the features and characteristics of Earth's layers, including a detailed exploration of volcanic, tectonic and seismic activity

Our PE days will take place on TUESDAYS AND WEDNESDAYS. Please come to school in PE school PE kit. 

Communication:

Communication is incredibly important so that school and home can work together. Please use Dojo for quick messages. This will be checked before the children come into school. We will post important information on our Dojo class story and the school website on 'what we are learning this week'. Miss Simpson or I will always be available on the gate in the morning and after school. If there is an issue that arises that needs a fair amount of time, please arrange a phone call or meeting with us. It's a partnership and we feel that working together ensures our lovely children being the best that they can be! :) 

Homework:

READING - planner's will be checked every MONDAY for Reading dojo's.

5 reads = 3 dojo's

4 reads = 2 dojo's

3 reads = 1 dojo

A signature from a parent / carer = responsibility dojo

SPELLING - spelling's will be set on a FRIDAY and tested on a THURSDAY. Children will earn 2 dojo's for 10/10. 1 dojo for beating their score or maintaining their school from the previous week. 

HOME LEARNING SHEET - this will either be Maths or English and consolidate what we have learnt in class that week. This will be set on a FRIDAY and due back on WEDNESDAY. Children can earn a dojo for completion. 

TIMES TABLE ROCK STARS - This will be checked WEEKLY on a MONDAY. Children can earn home learning dojo's from interaction and effort.
