Week beginning 20th September 2021

English Y1/2: We will be writing instructions about how to be a pirate!

 

Maths Y1: We will be looking at 1 more and 1 less.

English Y2: We will be looking at 10 more and 10 less.


Topic: In Geography we will be learning about maps and make our own pirate maps K and in DT we will work in teams to create our pirate bunting!

Y2 spellings (tested Thursday 30th September 2021): tunnel, funnel, jewel, camel, travel, 

Week beginning 13th September 2021

English Y1/2: We will be writing a postcard from the beach.

 

Maths Y1: We will be continuing to look at place value of numbers to 20.

English Y2: We will be continuing to look at place value of numbers to 100.

 

Topic: We will be having Partake Theatre in on Friday 17th September to learn about pirates, in Geography we will be learning about the different countries within the UK and the different beaches in those countries and in DT we will design our pirate flag for our bunting.

Week beginning 6th September 2021

English Y1/2: We will be looking at a beach and writing a setting description. 

 

Maths Y1: We will be looking at place value of numbers to 20.

English Y2: We will be looking at place value of numbers to 100.

 

Topic: We will be having out beach afternoon (6th September), looking at beaches in the past in History, looking at continents and oceans in Geography and looking at different fabrics in DT.

Y2 spellings (tested Thursday 16th September 2021): castle, middle, handle, tickle, people.

Week beginning 30th August 2021

This week is all about settling back into school. We will be thinking about emotions, learning to navigate our classroom and learn about our poet A.A Milne!
