Continuing our children's learning of the Gruffalo, they will be having a little visit from the Snake during our Magical Story Box Time. The focused activities this week will link to the Gruffalo especially the Snake.....
The children will be having a go at threading the pasta onto our snakes. They will also have the opportunity to use a variety of different resources to create their own spiral snake. We will be having a look at the different animals that may live in the deep dark wood during a matching game. While exploring the dough the children will have the opportunity to use the different tools to create different marks.
We will be focusing some activities on matching and learning about similarities and differences between objects as part of our phonics learning using jigsaws and objects.

Tapestry
We would just like to remind all parents/carers that you can now view memos and observations on your child's tapestry account. This is a great way for you to view activities and achievements of your child and it also allows us to communicate with you all. Please like the observations and comment back if you would like to let us know your thoughts. If you have any achievements from home or pictures of your adventures please upload them to tapestry so we can take a look. If anyone is still having issues with tapestry please do let us know so we can try and resolve this for you. Thank you!
Stay and play session
On Friday 1st October we would like to invite you to a stay and play session 11:20-11:45am. This will give you the opportunity to speak to your child's teacher and ask any questions you may have. It will also allow you to see how your child has settled into nursery.
Thursday and Friday Activities
Our activities for the remainder of the week are linked to Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. The children have had the opportunity to catch the gems and glitter in the shimmering water, explore the glittery dough, use the string to thread onto the stars and have a go at recognising their numbers on the star washing line.
