Wb - 11th November 2024:

English - Pathways to Write Scheme - Poetry. This week, we will be writing our own poems. 

We will also be looking at the poem 'In Flanders Fields' by John McCrae in our reading lessons. 

Maths - Common Multiples and factors. Prime numbers. Square and cube numbers.

Science - Heart rate investigation. 

In Geography, we will be conducting some road safety fieldwork out on Chesterfield Road to identify the potential dangers to vehicles and pedestrians. 

Wb - 30th September 2024:

English - Pathways to Write Scheme - Star of Fear, Star of Hope book. 

Maths - Rounding numbers to the nearest 10,000, 100,000 and 1,000,000

Science - The function of blood and the structure of blood vessels. 

In Geography, we will be using our map skills from last week, to look at grid references. In History, we will be looking at the key events of The First World War. In DT, we will be practising our sewing skills. In RE, we continue with our Bible Explorers sessions and in French we will be looking at naming and giving opinions about sports.

Maths - Rounding numbers to the nearest 10, 100 and 1000 

Science - Structure and function of the heart. 

In Geography, we will be looking at scales and distances on maps. In History, we will be looking at Weaponry used in The First World War. In DT, we will be practising our sewing skill. In RE, we have a Bible Explorers session and in PE we will be continuing our OAA and basketball lessons.
