Century for Change
WC 13.6.22
We start our exciting project 'Century of Change' this week with an exploration into Mills and Mines!
Tuesday - We will be looking at real life artefacts from Bilshthorpe Heritage Museum to help gain an understanding of what life was like for coal miners in our local community.
Wednesday - We are visiting Pleasley Pit Museum in the morning to see the headstocks in person and have a guided tour from experienced volunteers. In the afternoon, two ex-miners are coming to visit us to recall their experiences and answer any burning questions the children may have!
Thursday/ Friday - We are researching the history of the Mills in Nottinghamshire and the role children played in manufacturing.
