VE Day

Welcome

Friday 8th May marks the 75th Anniversary of VE (Victory in Europe) Day. It is the day on which the Nazi's surrendered to the Allied forces, bringing World War 2 to an end.

As well as linking all of Thursday's learning to VE Day tomorrow, we are also sharing lots of resources here to help you celebrate at home.

Key Stage 2 Learning - Thurs 7th May

Begin by using the resources below to explore VE Day and develop your understanding of why tomorrow is such a special day in our history.

Once you have looked at lots of the resources, we would like you to use Mansfield Museum's 'Design a Medal' activity to create your own medal which reflects VE Day's 75th Anniversary.

You could design it on their sheet, you could create it in a paint/drawing app, you could make it using any craft resources you have, paints or maybe even make something with lego!
