Y3/4 Attenborough

Welcome!

A very big  WELCOME to Sir David Attenborough Class from Miss.Gough (class teacher), Miss.Haslam (teaching assistant), Miss Bond (teaching assistant) and Miss.Marriott (teaching Assistant). We cannot wait to start the year with you... we are going to have a great year! 

 

We will be kick starting the brand new school year with an exciting new topic! This half-term, we are learning about the the Stone, Iron and Bronze Age in our topic 'Tribal Tales'.

Our Class text this half term is 'Ug' by Raymond Biggs.

 

We will be finding out more about the ways of life in the Stone, Iron and Bronze Age, including exploring artefacts, attempting to make clay beakers and visiting Creswell Craggs. 

 

Important information: 

 

Our PE days are: WEDNESDAY and FRIDAY

 

Start/ End of day routines: 

 School starts at 8:45am and finishes at 3:15pm

 

Home learning: 

Home learning will be given on Thursday and due in the following Tuesday. This will be via dojo however paper copies will be available if you find this easier. Please upload to dojo after completing so I can give out dojos!! 

 

Spellings: 

Spellings will be handed out on Friday and tested on Thursday. 

 

Contact: Nurturing and teaching your children is a privilege and it is our priority that your children are safe, comfortable and happy at school. All the members of staff in Attenborough class will be here to answer any queries you may have. For a quick chat or message about your child, I will be available at the classroom door on entry and at the end of the day however if you have a concern that may require more time, please send me a dojo so that I can arrange a telephone conversation or meeting when is convenient for us both!
