Week beginning 23th May 2022

English Y1/2: We will be designing and writing about our own plant that grows in our garden.

Maths Y1 - We will learning about position and direction.

Maths Y2 - We will be revising shapes.

Topic: We will be celebrating the Queen's Jubilee!

Week beginning 16th May 2022

English Y1/2: We will be designing our own dream garden and writing a setting description.

Maths Y1 - We will continuing to learn about measurement - capacity.

Maths Y2 - We will continue to revise our written methods for addition and subtraction.

Topic: In Science we will be learning about the plant cycle. In computing, we will learn to add effects to our photographs.

Week beginning 9th May 2022

English Y1/2: We will be writing a letter to a mayor to convince him to plant more flowers!

Maths Y1 - We will starting our measurement unit.

Maths Y2 - We will be revising the 4 operations

Topic: In Science we will be sorting different cacti into different groups. In Computing, we will use a frame to plan our photographs.

Week beginning 2nd May 2022

English Y1/2: We will be writing a story based on 'Jack and the beanstalk'

Maths Y1 - We will learning about sharing.

Maths Y2 - We will finish our unit on subtraction using the number line.

Topic: In Science we will be checking on our radishes and recording our data.

Week beginning 25th April 2022

English Y1/2: We will be writing a diary entry as the giant from Jack and the Beanstalk!

Maths Y1 - We will starting our unit on multiplication!

Maths Y2 - We will continue to use the number line to help with subtraction.

Topic: In Science we will label different parts of a plant and their jobs. In Computing, we will be learning about landscape/portrait pictures.

Week beginning 19th April 2022

English Y1/2: We will be writing instructions for planting seeds.

Maths Y1 - We will learning to count in 2s, 5s and 10s.

Maths Y2 - We will start our unit on subtraction - focusing on the number line.

Topic: In Science we will start our experiment - can seeds grow anywhere? In computing, we will start our unit on photography.
