Week beginning Monday 11th May

English: We will be planning our letter and then writing a letter about planting more trees.

Maths:

Y1: we will be focusing on repeated addition.

Y2: we will be starting our statistics unit.

We will be learning about different kings and putting them in a chronological timeline in history.

Week beginning 4th May - Bank holiday on the Monday

English: We will be focusing on commands this week.

Maths:

Y1: we will be starting our unit on multiplication by counting in 2s, 5s and 10s.

Y2: we will be focusing on 3/4 in fractions.

In science, we will be learning about microhabitats. We will also celebrate David Attenborough's 100th birthday!

Week beginning Monday 27th April

English: We will be continuing our story and focusing on writing in the past.

Maths:

Y1: we will be focusing on one more/one less within 50. 

Y2: we will be continuing looking at fractions.

We will be starting our DT unit focusing on mechanisms. In geography, we will be looking at royal residences. 

Week beginning Monday 20th April

English: We will be writing descriptions using adjectives.

Maths:

Y1: we will be learning about our numbers 20-50.

Y2: we will start our unit on fractions - 1/4 and 1/3.

It is Earth day on Wednesday so we will be completing activities around this!

Week beginning Monday 13th April

English: We will b starting our new text 'The Last Wolf'. We will be writing instructions and commands.

Maths:

Y1: we will be learning about our numbers 20-50.

Y2: we will start our unit on fractions - 1/2 and 1/4. 

We will learn about Moses in RE. In History, we will look at different historical vocabulary and look at how much power different monarchs have.
