Dough Disco

Dough disco is all about strengthening our children's muscles in their hands ready for writing. During dough disco the children have their own pots of dough and will practice a variety of different movements with their dough such as squeezing, pinching and rolling. This will support children and help to prepare them for writing. Please see some links below that we use to support our dough disco sessions. Please have a go at this at home with your child.

Let's Go To The New Dough Disco

Get up on your feet and bust a move on the dance floor with your playdough! This Early Years Emily dough gym/dough dance routine incorporates both fine and gross motor skills to get your child ready for writing!

This is the way! | Play dough song for fine motor development | Dough dance

This is the way! is a nursery rhyme with a twist - use play dough with this song to increase fine motor coordination and strength in your little ones! Follow the directions to pass, roll, pinch and squeeze high and low. This song has a more relaxed tempo and natural feel.
