What are we learning this term?

Our topic books this half term are We're going on a bear hunt, Dear Zoo and A very happy Easter.

On Wednesdays in PE in Spring 1 we will have our PE coach Mr Thomas.

Overall for Music we will be learning about Big Band and in RE we will look at special stories and the Easter story.

We now do handwriting every single day in the hall (so every child is sat at a table to write) before lunch as this is a new recommendation in the writing framework - please ensure that you are correcting your child if they are forming any of their letters incorrectly.

We have also started doing weekly reading groups with the children on the ipads - we can access all of our phonics books on there and we are seeing great benefits to the children's comprehension and confidence reading aloud to peers as well as us teachers.

Week 1 & Week 2 We're going on a Bear Hunt:

In the first two weeks we will focus our learning on the We're going on a Bear Hunt in Drawing Club (we focus on the character Mondays, setting Tuesday and go on adventures Wednesday and Thursdays).
