Welcome back to all of our children and families, we hope that you have enjoyed your February break and are ready to explore and learn with us in Spring 2 

This half term we will be using 3 different books as prompts for our learning, we are also inviting amazing ladies in our lives in for a celebration and preparing for Easter Time ....... 

We will also be spending more time in Forest School preparing for Springtime and beginning some planting 

The three books that we will be sharing and reading are ...

Week 1 and 2     "Meet the Weather" 

During the first 2 weeks the children will be learning about different types of weather. They will be observing the changes in the weather during the seasons of the year, listening for raindrops, painting bright sunny pictures and exploring what happens in winter when it turns very cold. 

In Maths the children will continue to use the 5 frame and 10 frame to count objects. They will also explore length and size.

Week 3 and 4 

The children will be listening to the lovely story "Bog Baby" They will be leaning about different habitats and how to look after all sorts of pets and creatures xxx

Week 5 and 6

 "We're going on an Egg Hunt" 

For our final book this half term we will be reading and listening to "We re going on an Egg Hunt" This book follows the same rhyme and rhythm of Michael Rosen's "We're going on a bear hunt" but has an Easter twist ! 

It will also be the "Special Ladies in our Lives"

event during which the children will be able to show their wonderful ladies around Nursery.

They will have the opportunity to make, craft and create some exciting things and spend time with these important people in their lives. 

In Phonics time we will be practicing rhyme and exploring how some words sound the same and some don't and in Maths continuing to learn all there is to know about numbers to 5 xx
