English: We will focus this week on writing questions and exclamatory sentences. We will also explore the conjunction 'when'
Maths:
Y1 : looking at numbers up to 20 - this week 14, 15, 16.
Y2: addition/subtraction - adding 2 2-digit numbers across 10 and subtracting 2-digit numbers.
In PSHE, we will think about our value 'Positivity' and think about positive thoughts we can have for the new year. We will also learn about our new DT significant person 'Frederick Percy Dolamore'. In science, we will start our new topic on materials and find different materials and objects around our classroom.
Week beginning Monday 5th January 2026
English: We will start our new story 'Grandad's Camper' and begin to make some predictions about the story. We will write different sentence types.
Maths:

Y2: addition/subtraction - adding 2 2-digit numbers and subtracting 1-digit numbers.
