This week our focus will be around different celebrations. We will be learning about Valentines Day, Pancake Day and Chinese New Year. The children will have a variety of activities to explore throughout the week. Please see some pictures of our activities this week.

Monday 5th and Tuesday 6th February 2024 - Valentines Day

The children will have the opportunity to explore the red rice in the tuff spot, make Valentines Day cookies in the dough, explore the red bricks in the sand, investigate the geli baff in the water tray, make a friendship bracelet, decorate a love heart and having a go at the formation sheets 'a'.

Wednesday 7th February 2024- Pancake Day

The children will be able to explore a variety of activities such as creating your own pancake, lemon printing, create a pancake using the shapes, fill the egg boxes in the sand, use the tools and cutters to make a pancake and exploring the ingredients in the tuff spot.

Thursday 8th and Friday 9th February 2024- Chinese New Year

The children will have a variety of activities to explore such a creating a lantern, chopstick painting, finding the hidden numbers in the glitter, posting the 'a' objects into the envelopes, making marks with the chopsticks in the sand, making a Chinese dragon and exploring the rice in the tuff spot.

Important Dates:

Friday 9th February 2024- Non uniform for Mental Health Awareness week. Forest school will still be taking place so please send your child to school in warm outdoor clothing. 

Children will also break up for half term.
