Below are our phonics and tricky words songs to help jog our memories. In addition to Geraldine the Giraffe videos for each sound.

Tricky Words - phase 2

Tricky Words - Phase 3

Phonics song

/ear/

/air/

/ure/

/er/

Have a go at forming each of these sounds in whatever way you choose.

Can you then push yourself and write some words with these sounds in? Maybe even use these words with a sentence.

Writing:

This week we will be exploring our school values and how we could use these to help Floella feel better in her school.

Explore the school website to learn about school values and try to write a letter to the new children starting Farmilo in September explaining how and why we use these values in School. Remember to use your robot arms, fingers spaces and full stops.

We might even be able to share some of these with Mrs. Tryner as she loves to hear how we are using the school values!

Topic:

This week we are focusing on Schools as when Floella moves to London she has to start a new school, which is very different to her school back in Trinidad.

Below you will find a list of some fun activities you could try at home linking to this:

- research about schools in Trinidad

- create a junk model school

- play schools with people at your home

- create a pretend tie

- write a letter describing one thing you would change about school and why (this could be as creative as you like).

Maths:

Our focus for this week is going to be on the number 14.

We have attached the number block episode we will be focusing on and some activity sheets for exploring number 14 further.
