We are Mr. Newman (Class Teacher), Mrs. Ferry (Teaching Assistant) and Mr. Gombos (Apprentice Teaching Assistant).
Our topic this half-term is ID. We will be learning about ourselves and the human body, considering how we differ and what makes us unique! Part of this is celebrating who we each are. In addition to this, we will be thinking about the world and the global family which we are all part of.
Our class book is The Boy in the dress by David Walliams.
Our P.E days are Wednesdays and Fridays.
Spellings go home every Friday and are tested the following Thursday.
Remember to read every night and make a note of it in your planners. Get somebody to sign for it once a week as well!
Please use this form to contact us if you have any non-urgent questions or concerns or are unable to contact your child's class teacher in person/by phone. This e-mail is checked by the school Senior Leadership Team and responses will be made within 48 hours.
Jonny, from Konflux Theatre, worked with Year 6 to produce a 10 minute play, without scrips,in just ONE DAY! We even performed the play at home time!
This week, Year 6 have been writing their own speeches on 'How to make the world a better place' based on a book called 'If the world were a village'. The Mayor of Mansfield visited us to discuss how she writes speeches and we are going to deliver our speeches to an audience of our families.
We used 2 Design and Make on PurpleMash to create nets of the buildings we had seen in Pleasley Vale. We printed these and assembled them to make a map of the vale.
