How to ruin a Victorian Tea Party!

Earlier in the term, we wrote some instructions for how to ruin any Victorian tea party based on our learning about Victorian etiquette.

One group turned it into this impressive instruction guide!

The Year 6 Car Wash

On Monday, Year 6 ran a car wash as their Young Enterprise project to raise funds for their end of year reward trip! Thanks to the generosity of all our fantastic parents and carers, plus Mr and Mrs. Ambrick, Mrs. Clarke and Mrs. ferry's Mum, we were also able to sell cakes, teas and coffees.

We are so lucky to have such wonderful support from all our Year 6 families. THANK YOU

Mr. Lindley's Visit

Mr. Lindley came into class to show some of the Victorian antiques he has collected. He talked to us about how they were produced and how they would be used. We were fascinated by Mr. Lindley's collection and lots of us now want to go off to car boots and antique fairs to find our own antiques! Thank you Mr. Lindley!

Wow! What a fantastic day!

We were so lucky to have Mr. Adby, from Partake, join us for our Victorian Day and what a day it was!

We explored a range of Victorian artefacts, learnt a Victorian Dance, found out about clothes and dining and ended the day trying on some hilarious Victorian masks.

It's always fantastic to have Partake in; thank you for teaching us so much Mr. Adby.

Our new topic is 'Revolution'. We will be investigating life in Victorian Britain, including finding out about food, schools, crime and punishment, Queen Victoria and the Industrial Revolution.

Punc-side Out

Have a look at some of the posters we produced, using the PicCollage app, to advertise our stories.

We imagined that punctuation had personalities, similar to Inside Out and Toy Story. We thought about what situations they might get into, by using the Pixar story rules as inspiration.
