Y4

Welcome to the Year 4 class page

The Y4 team this year is Mr Hibbert (Teacher) and Mrs Potts (Teaching Assistant). We will be using this page to post any important information as well as to showcase some of the fantastic learning the children have been doing. 

This half term, our topic is Burps, bottoms and bile, which is all about the body of animals including humans. Throughout this half term, we will be learning about the digestive system of animals, including humans. We will be thinking about how the body works and what the functions of different organs are. We will also be looking at the teeth of different animals, including humans. The names of the types of teeth, and how to maintain teeth to ensure they stay healthy.

Useful information

• Our PE for this half term will be on a Monday and a Tuesday. We will be looking at table-tennis on a Monday with Gordon and continuing with swimming on a Tuesday a for the rest of this half term.
• Please make sure children are bringing in the correct kit (white top, black shorts/joggers, plimsolls/trainers).
• For swimming please make sure children have skin tight swimsuit or swimming trunks and hair is tied up out of the child's face. 
• Home learning will be collected in on a Thursday and handed out again on a Friday, so please make sure they have this completed and handed into school by Thursday.
