Wk beg- 1-3-21

Welcome to our last week of home-learning, before we all come back to school on Monday 8th March :-) I can't wait to see everyone in person! If there is anything that you want to talk about, then please let me know via Dojo 

 

Friday 5th March- Welcome to our last day of remote learning :-) Remember to join me via teams at 9am for Arithmetic. I hope you all have a lovely day and a fabulous weekend and I can't wait to see you all on Monday :-) 

 

Learning for today consists of Arithmetic (found on Dojo), Big Write (video will be uploaded later this morning), PE and French. For Reading today, you can use Bug Club or can read your own book and if you didn't complete a book review yesterday, then you can do today :-) 

 

You can find new spellings below. You won't be tested on all of them, but it's good to practise and find out their definition. 

 

partial, confidential, essential, substantial, torrential, sequential, potential, spatial, martial, influential. 

Arithmetic examples- I've just spotted that when finding 1/8 as a decimal, you need to divide 12.5 by 100 and not 10 as it says on the sheet. Sorry!

Thursday 4th March- World Book Day- Please remember to wear your pyjamas and find some time to get cosy and read part of a book today :-) For children in school, please bring in your favourite book. For children at home, join me at 10.15am, to share your favourite book and to have a look at Gareth's activity. 

 

Learning for today consists of Airthmetic (on Dojo), Maths, Reading, Grammar, Spelling Test and World Book Day activities. Our Big Write will take place tomorrow :-)

Tuesday 2nd March- Good morning everyone! Please join me today at 1.30pm for our teams call. Here, we will talk about what it will look like coming back to school next week, World Book Day and we might have time for a quiz :-)

Maths for today is looking at area and perimeter. The area is the space inside a shape and the perimeter is the length around the outside. Please click here for the video and find the worksheets below.

English- Task 1- Can you choose an arctic animal to research ready for your Big Write on Thursday? Task 2- Can you then use some of this information to write sentences, choosing appropriate sentence openers?
