Week beginning 4th January
This week we are start our deep dive into Blue Abyss! We have our engage day on Monday where we have an online tour of a famous reef and aquarium! This week in topic, we start to look at the creatures that lie below and categorise these using our scientific skills! In English, we are looking at non-fiction texts that pulls all our knowledge of the creatures below. In Maths, we are continuing with our multiplication and start to look at methods that apply our times tables knowledge. In PE, we are looking at ballet! Please remember our PE days are now TUESDAY and WEDNESDAY.
Week beginning 14th December
This week we are celebrating all things Christmas! We will be completing some festive Maths using our times tables and investigating some Christmas mysteries... We will be creating our yearly Christmas calendars and Christmas cards. In addition to this, we will be decorating that fantastic decorations created by the PTA. The whole school will be taking part in the very first virtual Christmas carol concert on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday are both non-uniform days and we will be having some disco time in the hall on Friday morning. It will be a fun packed week full of festivities! Lots of games, crafts and celebrations are planned to enjoy our last week of term together.
Week beginning 7th December
This week, we begin our Christmas themed activities!! In English, we will be studying a Christmas Poem and the children will be using this as inspiration to innovate their very own on our Big Write day. In Maths, we come to a conclusion with our multiplication as we look at the 8 and 9 times tables. We have some a Computer Day this week dedicated to all things Coding! Now we have finished the book, we will be watching the film version of 'How To Train Your Dragon'. In addition to this, we will also be streaming a Christmas Panto! This will also be our last week on Multi-skills in PE as the last week will be jam packed full of all things Christmas, so please come in PE kit on Tuesday and Friday as usual. In spelling, we have our 'Big Spell' test on 15 spellings we have learnt over the course of the term.
