What we are learning this week?

Week beginning 12th July

We have an exciting week planned this week! On Tuesday, we will be hosting our Year 3/4 Sports Day all afternoon. Unfortunately due to COVID, this will be just as a year group without parent spectators but it will be a fantastic action-packed afternoon. In Science this week, the children will be creating their very own potion which will inspire our writing as we will be creating an advertisement to sell our potions. We will even be making our own ice cream and observing the changes of temperature. In maths, we move to problem solving. We will be using all four operations and applying this. It is also our Gold afternoon on Friday for those children who have achieved it.

Writing will be inspired by Diagon Alley as we create our very own setting descriptions. We have the times tables check for Year 4 this week on Thursday and Friday. We pick up Fractions again this week focusing on equivalent fractions which is something we found a little tricky before we broke up for half term.
