After all your wonderful learning in Traders and Raiders, this week we are getting in the festive spirit with a focus on the poem 'Twas the night before Christmas. Such an exciting start to the week as we have our Virtual Viking Experience from Jorvik museum and that forms the basis for our whole week! This week, we are finding out about Viking Sagas and also Mythology as we learn more about Thor, Loki and Asgard. We are even going to write our very own Thor and Loki story, set at Farmilo! In maths, we will continue our learning about subtraction before moving on to times tables and multiplication.

This week, we are fast forwarding to modern day Rome and planning a little trip! We'll be investigating tourism in Rome today as we find out about what we can see and do in the Italian capital. We're going to be writing our very own holiday brochure pages and planning a day out in Rome. In maths, we'll be busy working on our addition knowledge which we will focus on this week and next.

We're going to be making a start on an exciting adventure story which we'll be working on the for the next two weeks. Week beginning Monday 7th September
After a brill couple of days settling in, we have a very busy week ahead as we find out what it would have been like to be a soldier in the Roman Army! We're going to look at the training, the uniform and what day-to-day life would have been like...could YOU have been a Roman soldier? In maths, we're going to be looking at Place Value in numbers up to 1,000. Don't forget our PE days are Tuesday and Friday - remember to come to school in your PE kit as we stay in these all day.
