Today's Maths is... the Maths online quiz (here) OR practising your times tables (you might want to go on Times Table Rockstar).

Today's English is... a spelling test and some transition activities. We would normally be doing these activities at school. There are few activities to choose from - you can choose which one you would like to do, or you might want to do a few - It's up to you!

Today is the last day of daily remote learning. There will be no daily learning next week! However, if you would like some activities to do over summer, I have attached some Summer booklets for you to do. This is only if you would like to and there is no expectation to complete these :) Have a wonderful, relaxing and fun summer.... and STAY SAFE!

Spelling test 17.07.2020

Thursday 16th July 2020

Today's Maths is... about using bar charts. This is another way we can represent information (or 'data'). We have covered this in Year 3, but not since the beginning of the year, so have a go! Make sure you watch the video to help you!

Today's English is... can you write your own poem, verse or song using your rhyming words from yesterday? Miss Stanley has written an example of a poem about our made up character to help you - see if you can spot our rhyming words first before you try writing one of your own!

Your poem or song doesn't need to be as long as ours but... You need to include:

- Rhyming words at the end of each line.

- Your character.... your poem could describe them or even describe what happened to them in the room.... it's up to you!

You might even want to perform your poem or song!!

Lesson 4 - Bar charts

Wednesday 15th June 2020

Today's Maths is... about pictograms. We did some learning on pictograms at the start of Year 3 - let's see how much you remember! There is a video to help you too.

Today's English is... choosing your own rhyming words based on your character. This is a similar activity to Monday's Rhyming words, but you now choose the word to rhyme with on the trunk of the tree!

Remember to choose your topic activities. This is the last week for topic activities!

Lesson 3 - Pictograms

Tuesday 14th July 2020

Today's Maths is... adding and subtracting capacity. Remember to watch the video to help you.

Today's English is... a reading comprehension of a poem. This is a poem from Charlie and the Chocolate factory and will help you write your own song/poem.

Lesson 2 - Add and subtract capacity

Monday 13th July 2020

Today's Maths is... can you compare capacity? Watch the video to help you. You can find the worksheets below.

Today's English is... can you find different rhyming words? Watch the video to remind you of what a rhyming word is, then have a go at filling in the rhyming trees (or you can write your rhyming words on a separate sheet of paper you can find at home).

There is also a spelling challenge to have a go at too!
