In math, we are going to revisit and recap the 4 operations. Today, I want you to practise adding numbers including exchanges.
Today, we are going to write our big write - the warning tale. You have spent the past 2 weeks working towards writing this narrative story based on a warning. You all have an idea of what your warning is, and you have created your own characters (main character and villain). We also spent some time creating the room in which your character will be going into (your wonder room). Today, you are going to be putting all of these together and writing a story involving all of these aspects. Make sure your story has a clear structure and you use lots of descriptive features.
As this is usually an assessed piece of work, the children should be given extra time to ensure they have produced a quality piece of writing. I have uploaded an example warning tale story for the children to look at and use in order to assist their writing.
In PSHE this week, we are thinking about volunteering and volunteers. Look through the PowerPoint slides and have a think about what volunteering is, why people volunteer and the benefits. Consider all of the questions.
Then, I would like you to create a poster about volunteering, explaining the benefits, the reasons and convincing others to get into volunteering.
We would normally be looking at athletics today, but I would like you to have a go at doing some exercise from home. This could be a Joe Wicks on YouTube, or maybe you have other ideas. It is so important to stay active, so make sure you do something :)
