The Easter project links to our next topic which is 'Beast Creator.' There are some ideas that you could do to prepare for our next topic- I am looking forward to seeing what you can do over the Easter holidays :-)
Below that is some information about Easter, as we would be discussing the Easter story if we were in school. This is extra, so I would rather you focus on the Easter project related to Beast Creator, if you only have time to do one :-)
Recap the story of Easter by watching this video or by doing your own research. Can you think about how the people in the story were feeling? Try to fill out the worksheet named Jesus' Last Week with some ideas as to what was happening in each picture and why the people felt the way that they did.
Challenge- Can you find out the reason why we give eggs at Easter?
Friday 3rd April- Well done to everyone for all of the activities that I have been sent this week. They have really made me smile- thank you!
Today's task is to consider what you think the world will be like in 2120- 100 years from now. Start by finding out what life was like 100 years age before now (1910), then compare that to life today and then think about what life could be like in 100 years. What will be the same? What will be different? To get you started, here is some information about what life was like for children in the 1900s.
You can present your learning in any way that you want to- you could create a collage, you could draw comparisons, you could do some writing. You may even want to do a diary entry from each time period. It is completely up to you- I can't wait to see what you come up with!
Thursday 2nd April- I hope that everyone had a good day and didn't have too many jokes played on them!
I apologise for not uploading a topic learning task yesterday- I was in school and the time ran away with me!
Today's learning task is to watch this animation. Talk about the story you have seen with an adult. Pretend that you are the man in the video or a member of his family. Can you write a recount of your life? Or you could record a video as a presentation? I look forward to seeing your ideas on Dojo.
Science- Ask other members of your family to take part in this experiment- the question is... Do we get slower as we get older?
Take part in a number of activities- run a small distance and compare times, try to catch a falling object from the same height, perform star jumps for a minute- take your heart rates before the exercise and after- what is the difference? Think about what other activities you could do within this experiment- what ideas have you got? Send me the evidence on Dojo- I can't wait to see your investigations! Don't forget to record your results and send them to me :-)
Tuesday 31st March- Good morning everyone! I apologise that I haven't been on Dojo, there has been a technical issue and it won't load on my laptop. I am trying again this morning and I hope the issue has been resolved.
Today, I have uploaded some videos about adding and subtracting fractions. There is also a sheet to go with it- have a go!
Thank you to everyone for your support during a very strange and uncertain week. I am very impressed with all the tasks that the children have been completing and I am glad to see a range of activities. Please try to enjoy as much family time as possible and make sure that you make the most of the weather, when it is nice and sunny :-)

Here are some learning tasks that you could do :-)
Thursday 26th March- I am in school all day today and so please bear with me in terms of replying to messages and being able to post at all times during the school day. Please expect a phone call from me either today or tomorrow :-)
Activities for today- Please try to log on to either Bug Club, Times Tables Rockstars or the Spelling/Maths Shed website. I am very impressed with the fact that the children are accessing these and enjoying these activities. Well done everyone!
Maths- please continue with the booklets or the learning packs- I am hoping to upload a video about fractions later today, which will help you to complete the fractions sheet that I will set tomorrow.
English- think about your favourite book. If you could make it into a film, who would you cast in the role? If it has already been made into a film, what actors would you like to see in the film? Can you create a promotional poster for the film?

Wednesday 25th March
Throughout the day today, please look out for an individual url (linked to Dojo) that will take you to a QR code. If you scan this, it will allow your child to upload learning straight into Dojo and I think I can interact with it much easier. Please let me know if you experience any problems.
Tasks for today- make the most of the nice weather! Create some artwork, write a poem, create a song or a rap, go outside and create a new game or take part in a treasure hunt.
Please spend some time on Times Tables Rockstars- can you beat your score from yesterday?
Tuesday 24th March- It is not an expectation that your child will do all of the activities that are posted here, but I am trying to provide more than you will need. Please pick and choose what you would like to do, but enjoy family time as well. Please feel free to let me know about any life-skills that you and your child are doing, eg. cooking, sewing, helping around the house etc. At this unprecedented time, anything that your child does is amazing!
Also, I apologise, as I didn't upload the answer booklets for yesterday. Please check under the booklet attachment, as I will be uploading these today.
Please join in with The Body Coach (Joe Wicks) at 9am this morning (I think it is called PE with Joe.)
Maths- Either continue with the multiplication and division booklet or complete a task from the addition and subtraction booklet.
Reading- Read something that interests you and write in your planner or do some reading on Bug Club. Please let me know if there is a problem with your login.
English- Write a paragraph about anything that you want, but try to include adjectives, adverbs and brackets.
Monday 23rd March- Activities for today
Reading- Read a book on Bug Club and make sure you answer the questions!
Maths- Complete at least one activity from the Multiplication and Division booklet- just use paper to write on and don't forget that you can send me a picture on Dojo.
English- Write a letter convincing me to go on a school trip to anywhere!
Don't forget to go on Times Tables Rockstars- logins were sent via Dojo over the weekend.
