Phonics - We are learning the new sound, action and story for 'ch' and 'sh'. Read the story Chicken Licken for 'ch' and Shh! We have a plan for 'sh'. 

The action for 'ch' is to fold your arms into wing shapes and flap up and down like a chicken.

The action for 'sh' is hold index finger to your lips and says 'shh' in a whisper voice.

 

Make the sparkle mark for 'ch' and say the rhyme "draw around the caterpillars mouth and hop down the rabbit hole then jump over the rick and flick"

 

Make the sparkle mark for 'sh' and say the rhyme "Take Jake the snake around the lake and hop down the rabbit hole then jump over the rick and flick"

 

Make a list of words e.g. chip, chop, chat

e.g. shot, shut, shop

 

 

 

Tricky word disco - learn new words on sight 'that' and 'has'

 

 

Maths - Watch number I can count from any number by Jack Hartman. Watch number block castle episode counting up to 10 from any given number.

Use flashcards and a ten frame.

Big Write - Write a sentence with finger spaces and a full stop. The sentence is to describe their own Worry Monster.
